About the Role

We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to develop and grow sales within an established territory. The successful candidate will have proven experience of Commercial Foodservice Equipment and a strong understanding of counter design solutions.

Your time will predominantly be spent visiting new and existing customers promoting the Moffat equipment portfolio, creating increased levels of brand awareness.

Building new and maintaining existing relationships with a wide range of clients, including public sector organisations, contractors, architects, catering managers, and the wider distributor network. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities while managing existing accounts to achieve sales targets in line with the company’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a territory sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across both public and private sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with public sector contacts, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, schools, colleges, universities, and government organisations.
  • Promote an extensive portfolio of Commercial Foodservice Equipment and counter solutions.
  • Work closely with customers to develop practical, functional, and aesthetically pleasing counter designs that meet operational requirements.
  • Monitor public sector procurement opportunities and framework agreements.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM database.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, networking events, and customer meetings.
  • Carry out Site Surveys
  • Arrange product training & demonstrations, on and off site

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Proven sales experience within the Commercial Foodservice Equipment industry.
  • Experience selling or specifying bespoke catering counters and front-of-house serving solutions.
  • Strong understanding of project-based sales.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and collaborate on counter design solutions.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience working with public sector customers and procurement processes.
  • Experience working with consultants, architects, catering designers, and M&E contractors.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of commercial kitchen design principles.
