About New Leaf

New Leaf Haven Homes is a small specialist residential service based in a beautiful four bedroom home in Hale. We support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, including people who may require enhanced 1:1 or 2:1 support.

Our size allows us to take time to understand each person properly and create bespoke support around their needs, preferences and ambitions. We want to grow carefully, one suitable placement at a time, with a focus on care that is safe, consistent and sustainable.

You will work directly with a close and engaged leadership team, including our Nominated Individual, medically qualified Directors and external advisers. Your ideas will be heard, decisions can be made quickly, and you will have a considerable influence over the service, its culture and how New Leaf develops.

The opportunity:

New Leaf Haven Homes is ready for its next stage of growth. We are looking for an experienced care leader who can build our referral pipeline, develop commissioner relationships and help turn our specialist residential service in Hale into a successful, well occupied home.

The immediate emphasis of this role is business development. We need someone who understands the local care market, knows how to reach the right decision makers and can convert suitable referrals into safe, sustainable placements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Alongside this commercial focus, the successful candidate will have previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager and must be willing and suitable to apply for registration as Registered Manager.

This is an opportunity to join while the service is developing and have a direct influence over its growth, reputation and future direction. You will work closely with our Nominated Individual and Directors, with the freedom to build relationships, identify opportunities and shape the service around the people we support.

We are open to a permanent appointment or an experienced consultant or contractor who can provide immediate business development and registered management leadership while we establish our longer term structure.

What you will do:

  • Lead business development activity, building relationships with commissioners, social workers, local authorities and other referral partners.
  • Take ownership of the referral pipeline and occupancy, from initial conversations through assessment, funding discussions and placement.
  • Represent New Leaf externally and build a strong reputation for specialist support across Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.
  • Apply to become our CQC Registered Manager, maintaining effective oversight of compliance, safeguarding, governance and service quality.
  • Work with the Directors to develop the staff team, resources and operating structure as occupancy grows.
