As Clarity Plastics continues to grow, we’re looking for an ambitious, commercially sharp Business Development Manager to help us drive the next stage of our development.
This isn’t a sit-back-and-wait-for-the-phone-to-ring kind of role. We’re looking for someone who knows how to spot opportunities, open doors and turn technically demanding enquiries into profitable, long-term partnerships.
At Clarity Plastics, we don’t just manufacture components; we help customers solve problems, develop products and bring ideas to life.
With manufacturing facilities in Birmingham and Telford, we provide:

We support customers across the automotive, industrial, consumer and specialist manufacturing sectors, and now we’re ready for the next stage of our growth.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
- £48,000–£55,000, depending on experience
- Commission
- Company car
- 28 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays
- Birmingham/Telford, with UK customer travel
- Full-time, permanent position

YOUR MISSION
You’ll take the lead in finding and developing new business, building relationships with key decision-makers and managing opportunities from the first conversation through to quotation and contract award.
You’ll also:
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Develop new and existing customer relationships
- Identify opportunities for additional work
- Understand customers’ technical and commercial requirements
- Support quotations for moulding, tooling and assembly projects
- Attend customer meetings, site visits, exhibitions and industry events
- Work with our commercial, operational and leadership teams to deliver our growth strategy
YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- B2B business development or technical sales experience within plastics, injection moulding, automotive, engineering or manufacturing
- A proven record of winning new business
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- The ability to understand technical drawings and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The drive to create opportunities and not simply manage existing accounts
