The Work You'll Do
As Manager, Business Development, you will lead a high-performing SaaS Business Development team, driving growth and innovation in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for building, coaching, and motivating a team of Business Development Representatives, ensuring they consistently deliver a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning sales and marketing strategies, optimizing team performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and achievement. You will collaborate across departments, manage projects from conception to implementation, and play a critical role in the success of Sovos’ sales operations.

More specifically you will:
- Hire, train, and lead a team of inbound and outbound Business Development Representatives to ensure steady pipeline contribution
- Develop and execute outbound pipeline generation strategies to create high-quality opportunities
- Oversee timely follow-up on marketing campaigns to qualify and develop leads
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align strategy and execution
- Optimize team performance through coaching, enablement, and data-driven decision-making
- Build and sustain a culture of high performance and accountability, consistently meeting and exceeding targets
- Provide growth opportunities for team members to advance into full-cycle sales roles
- Act as a mentor and coach, maintaining a positive and motivational work environment
What We Need From You
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role managing a team of 4+ Business Development Representatives
- Proven track record of exceeding pipeline targets while leading an outbound team
- Deep knowledge of prospecting strategies, lead qualification, and sales development best practices
- Strong proficiency with sales technology tools (CRM, sales engagement, intent data, prospecting tools)
- Data- and metrics-driven approach to performance management and strategy
- Proactive and self-motivated, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in conflict management, approaching tough conversations with empathy and clarity
