£50,000–£70,000 base salary DOE + industry-leading commission structure
The Opportunity
Are you a true new-business salesperson who enjoys opening doors, engaging senior decision-makers and turning conversations into commercial opportunities?
I’m working exclusively with a globally recognised financial services business that is investing heavily in the continued growth of its B2B proposition.
This is a genuine hunter-style Business Development Manager opportunity. You won’t simply be managing inbound leads or inheriting an established patch, you’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, creating relationships and owning the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to negotiation and close.
It’s an opportunity to join an established global business while playing a key role in building and accelerating its B2B growth.
What you'll be doing
- Proactively identify, prospect and develop new B2B opportunities
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Own the complete sales process from initial outreach through to close
- Understand a prospect’s commercial objectives and challenges before positioning the right solution
- Generate opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals and strategic business development
- Deliver compelling, commercially focused presentations and sales pitches
- Manage a structured pipeline and consistently work towards new-business and revenue targets
- Develop long-term commercial relationships rather than focusing purely on transactional wins
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to customer

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
