About First Choice HealthCare
First Choice HealthCare is a specialist, nurse-led provider of complex care services, supporting children and adults to live safely and independently in their own homes across England. Working alongside NHS commissioners, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), case managers, local authorities, solicitors, and families, we deliver bespoke, person-centred care for individuals with complex clinical needs, including brain injuries, spinal injuries, neurological conditions, tracheostomies, ventilator dependency, learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
As part of the First Choice Nursing Group, we're investing significantly in the future of our complex care division. We have ambitious plans for national growth, and we're looking for the right person to help make that happen.
The Opportunity
This isn't your typical Business Development role.
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, proactive, and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up. Someone who understands that relationships aren't built by sending one email and waiting for a response, they're built through persistence, consistency, and genuine engagement.
Working closely with our Commercial Lead, you'll play a key role in delivering our national growth strategy, identifying opportunities, building relationships, and helping establish First Choice HealthCare as a trusted provider of complex care across England. You'll be given the autonomy, support, and investment to succeed, but we're looking for someone who is willing to put the work in to achieve exceptional results.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
