Location: Sandbach HQ

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Salary: £40k-£50k + commission, opportunity to earn £75k year 1

Reports to: Sales Director

The Role of a Business Development Manager

Our client is looking for an ambitious, driven B2B Sales Executive who genuinely enjoys winning new business. This is a full 360 sales role, so you’ll own the entire sales process, from identifying and generating your own opportunities, through to building relationships, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.

You’ll have a support team helping to generate leads and opportunities, but this isn’t a role where you simply wait for leads to land on your desk. Our client is looking for someone who enjoys the hunt, is confident picking up the phone, opening new doors, and turning prospects into long-term clients.

There will be a good mix of office-based work and getting out on the road to meet clients face-to-face.

Key Responsibilities for a Business Development Manager

  • Generate your own new business opportunities through proactive prospecting
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close
  • Convert leads and opportunities generated by the wider support team
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date
  • Present and pitch products and services to prospective clients
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and senior stakeholders
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close new business
  • Meet and exceed personal sales targets
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients after the initial sale

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
