Business Development Manager

DEBRA is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our friendly and supportive team, to help grow our fundraising activity, on a Part Time Contract, working 21 hours, earning a salary of £25,200-£27,000 per annum. This role is based in Scotland hybrid & travel across Scotland and occasional trips to DEBRA's Head Office

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorship

  • Secure corporate partnerships aligned to DEBRA's mission
  • Generate sponsorship income for events and campaigns
  • Develop compelling partnership proposals
  • Manage and progress a pipeline of prospects

Event Income

  • Drive ticket, table and team sales for Scottish fundraising events
  • Support the sale and delivery of sponsorship packages
  • Generate leads through supporter and business networks
  • Represent DEBRA at events

  • Secure auction prizes, raffle items
  • Build relationships with businesses and donors
  • Coordinate prize fulfilment and donor stewardship
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising and data protection requirements
  • Conduct appropriate due diligence on partners and donors

Relationship Management & Reporting

  • Deliver excellent supporter stewardship
  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Report on pipeline activity, income and prize values
  • Support a joined-up approach across fundraising, marketing, finance and supporter care teams

Essential Skills

  • Experience in business development, fundraising, sponsorship or account management
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing pipelines and CRM systems
  • Organised, self-motivated and results-focused
  • Commitment to delivering excellent supporter experiences
  • Full UK driving licence
