Business Development Manager – SME Lending – Intermediary & Direct channel
We are representing an award-winning alternative finance provider who are embarking on an exciting growth trajectory. Over 10 years of UK trading behind them, a secure & growing lending book & variety of products puts them in a strong position to cater for UK SME’s
The goal is to mix technology & human touch to personalise lending offerings whilst delivering at speed. We are therefore looking for individuals to join the team who are passionate about creating long term relationships across SME Ecosystem & a reputation for efficient and bespoke lending solutions

My client has huge success within the Broker Channel & CCO is now looking to expand distribution to market focusing on wider introducers (Accountants, Solicitors, IFA’s) alongside conversion of Pre Qualified inbound leads from the marketing channel.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the CCO to shape the ‘non-broker’ sales channel being the first hire
- Attending industry events & growing our brand across the professional introducer market
- Acquiring SME lending opportunities from your network which are within our lending suite spot & working with credit to deliver on the deal
- Relationship driven approach to conversion of Inbound leads – Talking directly to SME owners to understand their challenges & shape lending deal accordingly

Experience:
- 5 + years within unsecured business lending within Bank, Alternative Lender or Fintech
- Proven success in a direct to market model within SME Lending
- Ability to demonstrate a introducer network which is non broker in the UK
- Ability to work in fast paced growing environment & deliver at speed
- Technologically minded
- Strong analytical skills – Ability to read financial accounts & ‘pre underwrite’ a deal before sending to credit.
