Business Development Manager
Social Housing Solutions Provider
£45,000 - £60,000 (OTE £120k+)
Remote with occasional travel to Manchester City Centre
About the company
This business has been only been operating 2.5 years but is already in multiple large councils across the country.
This business has an engineering solution that addresses a perpetual problem within social housing risking tenant health, to the degree that people have died. Mould.
They have a great business with a product proven to work, but require a salesperson who matches their endless ambition to help them scale.
The role
- Build relationships with councils - Ingratiate yourself in councils/national housing associations up and down the country.
- Network with stakeholders - The cost of the product is pretty low on a monthly leasing model - this means stakeholders will ultimately be the buyer and you will establish who they are and stick close to them.
- Build sales and pricing model - Help build the sales strategy which will be a combo of direct sales, selling through partners, and operating franchise arrangements.
- Navigate a multi-channel approach - Cold calling, trade shows, networking events, face to face meetings, email, LinkedIn and anything else proven to work should be experimented with to find the right mix.
- Build sales team - Over time this role will get bigger, with promotions definitely on the cards to the right person who can contribute significant revenue.

Who you will be
- You will have sold in to councils, local authorities, or housing associations, understanding those nuances.
