Tricity LabsĀ® is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to help bring our Verity platform to Housing Associations across England.
This is not a conventional sales role. We're looking for someone who understands how Housing Associations actually operate, how procurement decisions are made, and how a pilot becomes a properly funded, organisation-wide programme.
The Opportunity
Tricity LabsĀ® Verity provides Housing Associations with independent, continuous evidence of cold and damp homes before a tenant complains. Small indoor sensors continuously monitor:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Occupancy
Verity then ranks properties by concern, helping housing providers identify homes that genuinely need attention rather than relying solely on complaints, annual surveys or reactive repairs.
Our founding-Housing Association partner proposition is deliberately straightforward:
- 10 homes · 12 months · £2,500 upfront + £500 monitoring
- The standard service thereafter is:
- £250 per property upfront + £50 per property/year on a 3-year term.
The data belongs to the Housing Association. Our approach is deliberately independent: we measure and evidence; we don't specify or sell retrofit works. That independence is central to the proposition.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a Business Development Manager with knowledge and relationships across one or more of:
- Social Housing
- Housing Associations
- Asset Management
- Building Safety
- Damp & Mould
- Retrofit
- Sustainability
- PropTech
- Housing Procurement
You should understand:
- How Housing Associations identify and prioritise problems
- The roles of Asset Directors, Heads of Asset Management, Sustainability and Property Services
- How pilots become procurement opportunities
- Frameworks, DPS arrangements and direct procurement routes
- Budget cycles and financial years
- How internal champions influence purchasing decisions
- Why a technically excellent product can still fail if it doesn't fit the procurement journey

Iām in my final year doing Economics and I donāt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer ā it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donāt need a masters. Letās look at the ones youād be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet ā that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant ā 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
Youāve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon ā deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme ā client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right ā and where to focus when applying.
Most importantly, you should have credible industry relationships and the confidence to open the right conversations.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for developing the commercial pipeline for Verity across England.
- Identify
- Housing providers with a genuine cold, damp and property-condition challenge.
- Engage
- Get Verity in front of the people who own the problem.
- Qualify
- Establish whether there is a genuine opportunity, internal sponsor and route to procurement.
- Convert
- Turn qualified opportunities into founding-partner pilots.
- Expand
- Turn successful pilots into wider stock deployments.
- Build
- Help Tricity Labs develop the most effective commercial and procurement route into the sector.
š° The commercial opportunity
This is a commission-only, no-retainer founding role. We want someone who is prepared to put their commercial expertise and relationships behind an opportunity they believe in, and who wants meaningful participation in the value they create.
Pilot commission
10% commission on qualifying revenue from every founding-partner pilot you originate and convert.
Post-pilot commission
When your pilot converts into a wider deployment:
- 10% of qualifying net revenue generated from every property within the account you originated for the first 36 months.
That applies to both:
- Initial property deployment revenue
- Annual monitoring revenue
So, using the current standard pricing:
- £250/property upfront + £50/property/year
A 3-year customer relationship represents:
- £400 gross revenue per property at 10% commission:
- £40 commission per originated property over three years.
And there's a longer-term incentive:
- For originated accounts that continue beyond the initial 36-month commission period, Tricity Labs intends to offer a 5% continuing commission on qualifying net revenue for years 4 and 5, subject to the contractual commission agreement.
We want the person who opens the door and helps us win the account to benefit from the relationship they have created.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
What does "originated account" mean?
We will keep this transparent.
An account will be attributed to you where you have introduced and materially progressed the opportunity and it subsequently contracts with Tricity Labs.
Commission attribution, payment timing, renewals, property expansions and account ownership will be clearly documented in the commission agreement before you begin.
Commission will be calculated on net cash revenue actually received by Tricity Labs, excluding VAT, refunds, credits and separately charged third-party or pass-through costs.
No ambiguity. No arguments later.
Why join Tricity LabsĀ® now?
We're deliberately early. That means you'll have the opportunity to help shape:
- The Housing Association sales strategy
- Pilot programmes
- Procurement routes
- Framework strategy
- Commercial partnerships
- Pricing
- Sector positioning
- The wider Tricity LabsĀ® property intelligence proposition.
You're not being handed a mature sales machine and asked to make calls. You're helping build the machine.
The sector is under increasing pressure around damp, mould, excess cold, property condition, resident safety and proactive intervention.
Verity provides something very simple:
- Independent evidence of what is actually happening inside homes.
- Not another dashboard full of data.
- Not another retrofit sales proposition.
- Not another system asking Housing Associations to replace everything they already have.
- Evidence. Exceptions. Prioritisation. Independence.
This role isn't for everyone. We're not looking for someone who simply wants a database of leads. We're looking for someone who can say:
"I know who needs to see this. I understand how Housing Associations buy. I know who the decision makers are. I know how to get a pilot approved. And I know how to turn that pilot into a programme."
If that's you, we'd like to hear from you. We're interested in relationships, sector knowledge and commercial judgement ā not CV length.
