Business Development Manager | South East England | Remote-Based
Up to £50,000 Basic Salary + Bonus + Car Allowance

Our client, a well-established and growing distributor within the electronic security sector, is looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to oversee and grow their presence across the South East.
This is a field-based role offering a balanced mix of account management and new business development, ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships whilst actively identifying and securing new opportunities.
Working remotely, you'll spend approximately three days per week visiting customers and prospects, with the remaining two days working from home managing your pipeline, quotations and customer activity.
The Role
You will take ownership of an established customer base whilst driving growth through the acquisition of new installer, integrator and trade accounts across the region.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing and developing existing customer relationships across the South East.
- Maintaining regular face-to-face contact with key accounts to strengthen customer engagement and identify growth opportunities.
- Generating new business opportunities with security installers, system integrators and other trade customers.
- Prospecting, opening and developing new accounts throughout the territory.
- Increasing revenue within existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Promoting a broad range of solutions including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, networking and related security technologies.
- Building relationships with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Managing a healthy sales pipeline and accurately forecasting opportunities.
- Monitoring competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities.
- Representing the business at customer meetings, industry events and manufacturer showcases.

About You
We're keen to speak with sales professionals who have experience within the electronic security industry and understand the installer and systems integration market.
You Will Have
- Previous experience in Business Development, Account Management or Territory Sales.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, video surveillance or related security technologies.
- Experience working with security installers, integrators or trade customers.
- A proven track record of both growing existing accounts and winning new business.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills.
- The ability to manage your own diary, territory and sales pipeline effectively.
- A proactive, target-driven and commercially focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence.
