Job Title: Business Development Manager – South
Location: Field Based covering the south of the UK
Salary per Annum: Dependent on Experience
Employment Opportunity: Permanent

Overall Responsibility
Responsible for all sales activities from small to medium sized vehicle fleets, from lead generation through to close. The candidate will assist in developing an agreed sales Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding the Company’s connected customer base.
The role will be a “hunting” role heavily focused on new business and will include managing all commercial aspects of our potential client base within your region.
Specific responsibilities in relation to Physical Sales
- Selling the full range of CameraMatics products.
- Conduct sales presentations as required including software demonstration capabilities.
- Manage Client through the full sales cycle.
- Provide a consultative role in finding the right solutions to clients’ needs.
- Negotiating Terms of a sale and subsequently closing out.
- Advising of any forthcoming product lines that could be applicable to our customer base.
- To work closely with other Sales Team members to maximize cross-selling opportunities.

Specific responsibilities in relation to Inbound Call & Communication Inquiries
- Responding to appointments set by sales development or telesales team.
- Provide Account Management team a single point of contact for customer queries.
- Listen to customer requirements and recommend the correct solution for their needs.
- Generate own lead and opportunities.
Specific responsibilities in relation to Quotations / Proposals / Bids
- Preparing Quotes and or bidding documents.
- Keeping the CRM up to date.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on performance.
Specific responsibilities in relation to Outbound Calls & Communication
- From time to time Cold calling prospecting with view to setting up meetings for own region.
- Seeking referrals from current or new clients.
- Responsible for gaining new business - via prospecting.
Specific responsibilities in relation to Personal Objectives / Performance
- Reviewing one’s own targets and subsequent performance.
- Develop & maintain a major understanding of the Company’s target sectors.
- Accountability for targets / customer revenue / results orientated tracking / customer retention.
- To ensure that key data and target customer data is acquired and maintained (updated).
- Build constructive internal relationships to gain greater co-operation on sales led initiatives.
- Understand the current order book status and discuss scheduling of new work and its impact.
- Be aware of the Company’s product release plans for new or updated products.

The Ideal Candidate
- Must have previous 4 years’ experience in Vehicle Camera, Telematics or similar.
- Demonstrable ability to sell complex and technical solutions.
- Natural hunter with an element of account management skill set.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong leadership skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- The ability to engage with internal departments and drive project delivery.
- Be confident in creating own opportunities through cold calling and canvassing.
- Demonstrable track record of closed deals.
