The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can build a pipeline of new business within Construction and Infrastructure Sector, based in the UK serving customers in the UK and Ireland. This role reports into the Vertical Business Head and is part of a larger team currently servicing other sectors for Technology, Consulting and Integration Services. TCS are very well positioned with a leading reputation in this sector with marquee customers. We are seeking a BDM to generate significant new business sales and revenue in the Sector across UK and Ireland. Most of the sales will be created through selling a broad range of IT services into key clients / prospects within these sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- To assist in creation and implementation of the sales strategy, approach and objectives for the target market
- Connect within this industry with key executives like CEO, CFOs, IT Directors, Business Heads, and market / position TCS services.
- Lead end to end sales cycle.
- Manage relationships where necessary with other vendors and partners
- To identify key opportunities and develop compelling propositions and business cases
- To ensure routine use of bid review / approval processes, sales reporting and pipeline management tools
- To develop and maintain the most senior level relationships within target market / accounts in order to maximize sales opportunities.

Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
- Proven detailed knowledge of Construction and Infrastructure Sector
- Ability to take on and deliver agreed sales targets.
- Knowledge of selling Digital Services, IT Services and BPO
- Proven ability to engage at C-Level and develop tailored sales plans at an account level.
- The suitable candidate is required to be target driven and hungry to achieve results, they will have the ability to forge effective commercial relationships at all levels and will be able to use their tenacity and experience to drive value. They will need to believe in the vision and values of TCS.
- Successful candidate will be required to understand the value that outsourcing brings to organizations. This person must have a track record of sales in Large complex outsourcing deals within the Construction/Infrastructure Sector across UK and Ireland. They will fundamentally understand the territory, the science of consultative selling of IT services and have strong commercial awareness. They will need to have an innovative approach to deal structures and be able to be highly credible with Clients.
Degree qualified preferred
- Extensive experience of the industry
- Relevant experience of competing in the market.
- Experience of working in virtual teams spread over multiple locations and countries.
- Broad experience of the IT industry, markets, trends, technologies and their implications.
