Business Development Manager – Subsea Structures

Location: Aberdeen, UK

Approach: Hybrid Remote, typically 2-3 days per week in the office

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Manager in Aberdeen to seek and close ROV Inspection opportunities in the Offshore Energy market. With an initial focus in UK and EU geographies this role has scope for global growth. Our unique mix of modern robotics and in-house technologies provides a fresh approach to conducting offshore inspections. We need someone who is sympathetic to customer challenges, future focused and technologically minded to build strong, long-term foundations with customers. You will drive new business for ROV structural inspection services in the North Sea oil and gas and renewable energy markets, showcasing how our computer vision, autonomy and machine-learning capabilities enable more efficient, high-quality inspection campaigns.

What you can expect

  • Early-stage prospecting of the offshore energy market to determine sales opportunities that support the near and long-term growth of the company
  • Arrange and lead technical sales meetings to provide a quality overview of our capabilities to audiences that may not be tech-savvy
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all customer matters with the target market
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customers
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives against target customers
  • Forecast and track business development and sales metrics
  • Support development and operational teams by providing market and customer feedback
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as required

What you bring

  • Strong experience in sales processes, networking and prospecting with international customers, ideally in the oil & gas industry.
  • Proven ability to understand customer problems and assess commercial potential.
  • Willingness, persistence, and creativity in establishing contact with new prospects and conducting commercial discussions
  • An entrepreneurial mindset — you take ownership, move fast, and learn from iteration.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with both internal teams and external stakeholders at various technical and seniority levels
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline to support sales targets.
