Business Development Manager
Kingdom Systems
Location: Field Based (Swanley Office)
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, or as required to meet the needs of the business
Salary: £50,000 per annum + Commission/Bonus (if applicable)
About Kingdom Systems
Kingdom Systems is a leading provider of Fire & Security solutions, delivering installation, maintenance and support services to commercial clients across a range of sectors. As part of our continued growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager to drive sales growth across the South East region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven sales professional with strong Fire & Security industry experience who can identify opportunities, develop customer relationships and deliver tailored security solutions from initial enquiry through to project handover.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships and increasing revenue across key target markets.
The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, conducting site surveys, designing systems, preparing quotations and proposals, delivering presentations and securing contracts.
This role requires a strong commercial focus combined with technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems and the ability to develop effective solutions that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline.
- Identify and engage prospective commercial clients across target sectors.
- Conduct site surveys and customer consultations.
- Design Fire & Security system solutions to meet client requirements.
- Produce accurate quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
- Deliver professional presentations to prospective customers.
- Negotiate contracts and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Support the smooth handover of projects to operational teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for account growth.
- Work closely with internal operational and commercial teams.
- Contribute to the achievement of divisional growth targets and strategic objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline performance.

Essential Experience
Applicants must demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or similar role.
- Proven success generating new business within the Fire & Security industry.
- Experience working for a Fire & Security installation and maintenance provider.
- Experience designing and quoting Fire & Security system solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness and a track record of consistently achieving sales targets.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract award.
- Demonstrable success within a service-led organisation.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Five-year checkable employment history.
- Minimum of two satisfactory references.
- Credit check.
- Right to work in the UK.
Please Note
We are specifically seeking candidates who have worked within a Fire & Security installation and maintenance business, selling solutions directly to commercial clients.
Applications From Candidates Whose Experience Is Predominantly In

- Residential security sales
are unlikely to be suitable for this position.
We are also looking for candidates who can demonstrate a stable employment history, consistent achievement of sales targets and a proven track record of securing new business within the commercial Fire & Security sector.
