About the role

The Business Development Manager – Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) is responsible for leading business development activities and commercial growth for Motive Offshore Group’s TIC services globally. The individual will focus on developing new client relationships, identifying market opportunities, building a qualified sales pipeline that supports strategic growth across testing, inspection and certification services.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of business development across our growing TIC division, building new Client relationships and identifying opportunities across global markets. In this role, you’ll significantly contribute to Motive developing strong sales pipelines, influencing our commercial direction and play a key role in growing Motive’s TIC services globally.
About the team
You’ll be joining our Commercial Department, reporting to the Head of Business Development and working closely with teams across the Motive Group. The Business Development team is focused on identifying new opportunities, developing Client relationships and driving pipeline growth across our markets and services. You’ll also work closely with our TIC, Sales and regional teams globally to support Motive’s continued commercial growth.

Responsibilities
People
- Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout.
- Be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues etc.
Planet
- Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
- Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
Product
- Develop and execute the global TIC business development strategy aligned with Company strategic objectives.
- Identify, qualify and develop new opportunities across testing, inspection and certification services.
- Build and maintain a qualified Salesforce pipeline, ensuring leads are entered and tracked in Salesforce (CRM system), well developed and handed over to Sales teams for quoting.
- Develop relationships with global operators, vessel contractors, drilling contractors, asset owners and regulatory stakeholders; holding regular meetings to present Motives TIC offering.
- Support in the development of market entry plans through market intelligence and competitor analysis.
- As directed by the Head of Business Development lead assigned Development Accounts with the goal to enhance client relations and develop a qualified sales pipeline.
- Support in the securing of Master Service Agreements (MSA) and/or Framework Agreements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Contracts to deliver integrated solutions.
- Represent Motive Offshore Group at industry events and client meetings.
- Promote cross-selling opportunities across all business units.
Required skills / knowledge
- Significant business development, commercial and/or operational experience within Testing, Inspection & Certification or offshore energy.
- Strong understanding of testing, inspection and certification techniques and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Experience in developing strategic client relationships globally.
- Commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
- CRM experience (preferably Salesforce).
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Knowledge of ISO/API/DNV and related industry standards.
- Experience supporting strategic tenders and framework agreements.
- Business or Engineering degree.
- Commercially focused.
