Business Development Manager – Geospatial, Digital Twins & Asset Intelligence
Location: Sydney, NSW (Marrickville)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Build Something That Matters
This isn't a role where you inherit a sales pipeline.
It's an opportunity to build one.
We're partnering with an innovative Australian geospatial technology business that has built an outstanding reputation delivering advanced aerial data capture, surveying and inspection services. Following significant success across major infrastructure, commercial and government projects, the business is investing in the next stage of its growth.
They're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to establish and grow their Enterprise Geospatial division, helping organisations leverage LiDAR, photogrammetry, drone inspections, digital twins and spatial intelligence to make smarter asset and infrastructure decisions.
If you enjoy creating opportunities from scratch, building strategic relationships and shaping the direction of a growing business, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of the commercial growth strategy for the enterprise business, positioning the organisation as a long-term technology and data partner rather than simply another surveying provider.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll develop new markets, create strategic partnerships and win projects that establish long-term client relationships.
This is a genuine opportunity to influence both business strategy and market direction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for enterprise geospatial services.
- Build and manage a new business pipeline from the ground up.
- Identify and secure opportunities across:
- Infrastructure
- Construction
- Engineering & Architecture
- Asset Management
- Utilities
- Local Government
- State Government
- National Parks & Environmental organisations
- Lead government and council tender submissions.
- Build relationships with executive stakeholders and decision makers.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear commercial outcomes for clients.
- Negotiate pilot projects, long-term service agreements and enterprise partnerships.
- Develop sales collateral, case studies and marketing material.
- Establish CRM processes and reporting.
- Represent the organisation at industry conferences and networking events.
- Track pipeline performance and revenue against growth targets.
About You
You're a commercially driven business developer who enjoys creating opportunities where none currently exist.
You understand how enterprise clients buy technology solutions and know how to position technical capability around business value rather than technical specifications.
You'll Likely Bring Experience In One Or More Of:
- Enterprise B2B technology sales
- Geospatial or GIS solutions
- Surveying or spatial technologies
- Digital Twin platforms
- Asset Management
- Engineering consulting
- Infrastructure
- Aviation or UAV industries
- LiDAR or Reality Capture technologies

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
