Business Development Manager – Lift Servicing

£50,000 Basic + Company Car + Uncapped Commission

We are working on behalf of an established lift engineering company to recruit an ambitious Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in the lift industry, particularly someone with a strong track record of winning new business and developing client relationships around lift servicing and maintenance contracts. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with commercial clients and securing ongoing lift servicing agreements.

The Role

  • Proactively identify and win new business opportunities for lift servicing and maintenance contracts.
  • Develop relationships with facilities managers, property managers, building owners, managing agents and other key decision-makers.
  • Generate leads and build a strong pipeline of prospective clients across commercial, residential, retail and industrial sectors.
  • Promote lift servicing, preventative maintenance and ongoing maintenance agreements.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting and client meetings through to negotiation and contract award.
  • Identify opportunities to secure new maintenance contracts and expand the company's customer base.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and service contract agreements.
  • Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover of newly secured contracts.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's continued growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
