Recognised by EY, Deloitte, The Sunday Times, Financial Times, UK Growth Index, FeBe, and Sifted as one of the UK's fastest-growing companies. Lovey combines direct lending and brokerage services to deliver fast, flexible, and tailored funding solutions. With an industry-leading 5-star Trustpilot rating, businesses can enquire in 60 seconds and receive funding in as little as 4 hours.

About the Business Development Manager Role:

This is a role where you will own the entire sales process - from generating your own leads and making the initial approach, through to building the relationship, managing the opportunity and ultimately closing the deal.

You'll be responsible for developing your own pipeline through proactive outbound activity, speaking directly with business owners and decision-makers, understanding their funding requirements and converting those conversations into revenue.

This is not an appointment-setting role. You generate your own opportunities, and you close your own deals. You'll have ownership of your pipeline and the opportunity to directly influence your earnings through your performance.

You'll need to be confident picking up the phone, generating your own opportunities and taking them through the full sales process. From the initial conversation through to understanding the customer's needs, presenting the right funding solution and closing the deal, you'll own the relationship and be responsible for converting your own pipeline into revenue.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven salesperson who wants ownership of their results and the opportunity to earn serious money.

You'll be someone who:

  • Confident and comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls.
  • Naturally persuasive and able to build rapport quickly.
  • Resilient and comfortable with cold calling, rejection and challenging conversations.
  • Commercially minded and highly motivated by targets and financial reward.
  • Hungry to generate their own opportunities rather than relying on inbound leads.
  • Confident and capable of taking a prospect from initial conversation through to close.
  • Proactive, competitive and driven to succeed.
  • Well organised with strong pipeline and follow-up skills.
  • Confident speaking to business owners and senior decision-makers.
  • Accountable for their own performance and motivated by exceeding targets.
  • Eager to build a long-term career in a high-growth sales environment.

Experience in B2B sales, business development, telesales or a full-cycle sales environment is essential, with a proven ability to generate opportunities and close business. Previous experience in finance broking or financial services is highly desirable.

If you're ready to take ownership of your own pipeline, generate your own business, close your own deals and be rewarded for your performance, we'd love to hear from you.
