Carousel is looking for an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager to help drive our continued growth across the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished sales professional who thrives on winning new business, building strong customer relationships and turning opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.
You'll take ownership of developing new business across the UK, with a particular focus on customers within Material Handling, Construction or Healthcare, helping them solve complex logistics challenges through Carousel's time-critical logistics solutions.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Business Development Manager, you'll have the freedom and responsibility to identify opportunities, develop relationships and convert prospects into valuable long-term customers.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Winning new business by proactively identifying, approaching and developing prospective customers.
- Building and managing a strong, sustainable sales pipeline across the UK.
- Developing and executing sales strategies that deliver against ambitious revenue targets.
- Identifying new market opportunities and trends within time-critical logistics.
- Building trusted relationships with key customers, prospects and industry partners.
- Understanding customers' operational challenges and working with our internal teams to develop the right logistics solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell services across existing and new accounts.
- Working closely with Operations, Marketing and other teams to turn opportunities into successful customer solutions.
- Representing Carousel at relevant industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
- Managing sales activity, opportunities and performance accurately through our CRM.
- Monitoring performance against targets and providing clear and accurate sales forecasts and reporting.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced sales professional who knows how to create opportunities, build credibility with customers and, ultimately, close business.
You'll Ideally Bring
- Significant experience in B2B sales and business development, ideally within time-critical logistics or a closely related sector.
- A strong background, network or understanding of Material Handling, Construction or Healthcare.
- A proven track record of winning new customers and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify profitable opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
- A consultative, customer-focused approach to sales.
- The ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into commercially viable solutions.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Good knowledge of the UK market and relevant industry trends.
- The drive and self-motivation to manage a UK-wide territory while working collaboratively as part of a wider team.
