Job overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to lead and develop our UK and France BDR teams. This leadership role will be based in the United Kingdom and reports into senior commercial leadership. The manager will be responsible for coaching, performance management, hiring, training, and driving consistent pipeline generation across both regions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in BDR leadership, understands modern outbound and inbound prospecting best practices, and knows how to build a high performing culture rooted in accountability and professional development.

French language skills are preferred but not required. Experience managing teams across multiple countries or time zones is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead, manage, and support the UK and France Business Development teams focused on generating qualified pipeline.
- Hire, onboard, coach, and develop BDRs to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Build clear prospecting strategies in partnership with Marketing, Sales, and Regional Sales Leadership.
- Track core KPIs that align with pipeline targets for outreach volume, conversion rates, and qualification consistency.
- Run weekly team meetings and recurring one-on-ones focused on skill development, call coaching, and accountability.
- Partner closely with account executives to align on territory plans, meeting follow up, qualification standards, and handoff quality.
- Analyze team performance and produce insights to improve workflow efficiency, outreach effectiveness, and forecast accuracy.
- Oversee daily CRM hygiene across the team to ensure data accuracy in Salesforce.
- Drive continuous improvement in outreach methodology through tools such as Outreach, Cognism, ZoomInfo, Qualified, and 6sense.
- Collaborate with Enablement on training programs, certification paths, and career development frameworks for BDRs.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and high trust team culture across both countries.
- Represent the BDR function in regional pipeline reviews and operational meetings.
Qualifications
- Must be based in the United Kingdom (London or Manchester)
- 2+ years' experience managing a BDR or SDR team or a similar prospecting focused group.
- Strong understanding of outbound and inbound sales development motions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach individuals at various skill levels.
- Strong organizational ability and comfort navigating fast paced environments.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Demonstrated success working with Sales and Marketing stakeholders.
- Interest in technology, SaaS, fintech, and spend management solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
- French speaking skills are a plus but not required.
- Experience managing multi-country or hybrid teams.
- Experience with Outreach, Cognism, ZoomInfo, or similar tech stack.
- Experience implementing pipeline generation strategies across different regions.
- Experience in enterprise prospecting or AP automation markets is beneficial.

Compensation may vary for roles performed in different locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for variable compensation (such as a performance bonus or commission), benefits, and/or participation in other incentive or benefit plans, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and retirement benefits, subject to eligibility requirements.
