Company Description

Technocraft Industries India Ltd., founded in 1994, has grown into one of the world’s leading suppliers of drum closures and a key player in precision engineering. The company expanded by acquiring a steel pipe manufacturer and establishing a UK office to strengthen its presence in European markets. It further diversified into a 100% export-oriented cotton yarn division, equipped with advanced Swiss and Japanese machinery and supported by a captive power plant. Technocraft has forward integrated into high-precision scaffolding systems for construction and garment production and export through its subsidiary. The group focuses on continuous capacity upgrades, innovation, and serving both domestic and international customers.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in the United Kingdom. The Business Development Manager will identify and evaluate new business opportunities in UK markets, particularly across system scaffolding.

  • Developing and executing growth strategies
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customers and partners
  • Conducting market research to understand industry trends and competitive positioning
  • Preparing proposals
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Collaborating with internal teams on pricing and product offerings
  • Tracking performance against sales and revenue targets
  • Providing regular reports to leadership
  • Supporting strategic planning initiatives
  • Representing the company at industry events and customer meetings

Qualifications

  • Business development and sales skills, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, and deal negotiation.
  • Prior experience in system scaffolding.
  • Customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
  • Market research and analytical skills to assess industry trends, competitor activity, and new market segments.
  • Strategic planning and commercial acumen to develop growth plans, pricing strategies, and entry approaches for new categories.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for internal collaboration and external client interactions.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related industrial sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, with the ability to prepare reports, forecasts, and business proposals.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits, site meetings, and industry events as required.
