Business Development Manager, Facilities Management Services

£35,000 Basic, £55,000 Year One OTE, £70,000+ Year Two OTE plus Hybrid car

Covering the North East of England with ideal living locations being Newcastle, Sunderland, Darlington, Stockton and Gateshead.

We are seeking a driven sales professional with a passion for business development and a talent for building long-lasting relationships. This field-based BDM role is with a leading national provider of facilities management (FM) services, a respected name in the business and industry (B&I) sector, and also committed to being carbon-zero.

This is a new business-focused role where you'll also manage and grow key existing accounts. You'll be selling a diverse range of FM solutions to various sectors, including the NHS, other healthcare settings such as care homes and private healthcare, contract catering, hospitality, and general business.

What You'll Need to Apply to the Role of Business Development Manager

  • A minimum of 18 months of B2B field sales experience.
  • A proven track record of exceeding KPIs and sales targets.
  • Experience selling to the public sector is a plus.
  • A desire to use CRM systems to improve efficiency.
  • You're a confident, ambitious, and adaptable team player with a strong sense of integrity.
  • You're motivated by goals and have a proactive, "can-do" mentality.

In Return, as the Business Development Manager, You will Receive

  • A highly competitive salary and OTE: Up to £35,000 basic, £55,000 OTE in Year 1, and £70,000+ OTE in Year 2.

What you'll do as the Business Development Manager

  • Drive new business through proactive field sales and strategic account development.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, including national accounts.
  • Plan and execute a strategic approach to territory and pipeline management.
  • Identify new business opportunities and industry trends through thorough market research.
  • Collaborate with a supportive and eclectic team of Business Development Managers to share best practices.
