BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - CYBER SECURITY

£85,000 base | £170,000 OTE | Uncapped commission | England remote

About This Opportunity

A growing cyber security services business is expanding its new-logo sales capability. This hire will take ownership of a commercial and TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications) territory with a mapped target-account base.

This is a true new-business role. You will not be expected to sit and wait for leads. The business invests in outsourced lead generation, AI-assisted buying-signal technology and defined sales playbooks, but the successful person will still be expected to create their own route into the right accounts and own opportunities through to close.

Your responsibilities

  • New-logo acquisition across a defined UK territory
  • A target-account universe of mid-market and enterprise organisations
  • Full-cycle selling from first conversation through qualification, proposal and close
  • Multi-year managed cyber security services as the core growth focus
  • Professional services opportunities including security testing, assessment and advisory work
  • Pipeline creation through your own network, targeted prospecting and provided lead-generation support
  • Accurate HubSpot CRM hygiene, forecasting and pipeline management
  • Capturing account intelligence such as incumbent suppliers, renewal dates and buying triggers
  • Developing new customers before transitioning mature accounts into account management

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

You will be able to show a genuine track record of winning new logos rather than mainly growing inherited accounts selling cyber security managed services. You will be comfortable selling a non-commodity service where credibility, timing and the ability to articulate differentiation matter.

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Consistent new-logo acquisition
  • Full sales-cycle ownership
  • Self-generated pipeline, not only inbound or SDR-fed opportunities
  • Experience selling recurring managed services
  • Strong commercial qualification and closing skills
  • High CRM discipline and comfort working to a measured sales process
  • The ability to understand and explain a technical service proposition to senior buyers
  • Stable employment history and a credible record of performance
