Business Development and Marketing Manager

Leading international law firm

12-month fixed-term contract

London

My client is a leading international law firm with a prominent litigation practice and a growing presence in London. With more than 500 lawyers across London and the US, the firm advises on complex, high-profile matters that frequently span jurisdictions and markets.

This is a broad Business Development and Marketing Manager role supporting partners across Investigations, Compliance and Defence, International Arbitration and Financial Services Disputes. The successful candidate will help shape business development activity across these practices, combining strategic advice with direct involvement in pitches, client development, market intelligence, and profile-raising initiatives.

Based in a London office of around 40 employees and partners, you will work closely with senior lawyers and see the direct impact of your contribution. You will also have access to the resources and expertise of the firm’s wider international business development and marketing team. The role offers varied, commercially focused work and the opportunity to bring structure, insight, and momentum to the way partners develop relationships and pursue new business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
