Technical Business Development Manager

UK (Flexible Location)
Up to £70,000 per annum + Bonus/Incentives

Our client, a specialist manufacturer and supplier of industrial rubber products, is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager to join their growing commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded professional to help drive business growth, expand into new markets, and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the organisation.

The Company

Our client is a well-established business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality rubber and engineered product solutions across a range of industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Expand the company's presence within existing and emerging industrial markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, manufacturers, and end users.
  • Identify new applications and sectors for existing product offerings.
  • Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract award.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and operational teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
  • Provide market intelligence and commercial insight to support business growth initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, technical sales, or commercial management.
  • Background within rubber products, elastomers, polymers, sealing technologies, gaskets, engineered components, or related industrial products.
  • Demonstrable success in generating new business and developing customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing and engineering environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and manage a national territory.
  • Full UK driving licence.
