Are you a natural hunter who thrives on winning new business?
I’m working with a fast-growing premium drinks/FMCG brand looking for a driven Business Development Manager to help accelerate its growth across the UK.
This is a genuinely hands-on, field-based new business role. You’ll primarily take ownership of London, getting out into the market, opening doors, securing listings and building distribution, with occasional travel to Brighton and Bristol.
What you'll be doing
- Owning and growing a London-focused sales territory
- Proactively identifying and winning new business
- Securing listings across bars, restaurants, hotels, independent retailers and other hospitality venues
- Developing relationships with wholesalers and distributors
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and close
- Building relationships with buyers, venue owners and key decision-makers
- Representing the brand at tastings, activations, meetings and industry events
- Developing your own territory strategy and identifying new routes to market
- Growing distribution and helping establish the brand across new locations
- Occasional travel to Brighton and Bristol

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
