Join us as a Business Development Manager, where you will drive sales growth across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East within our ViaLite and PPM Test divisions. In this role, you’ll take charge of identifying commercial opportunities, forging strategic client relationships and securing new business across a range of advanced communications markets.

Responsibilities
- Increase ViaLite sales in the UK/Europe/Middle East region, across a range of communications markets
- Help the business to understand customer requirements and develop the ViaLite product range to meet those needs
- Identify potential new products from third party manufacturers to compliment the ViaLite manufactured offering
- Develop new and existing accounts to achieve growth in sales revenue and profit plans
- Respond to enquiries with technical and commercial assistance
- Prepare quotes, including complex costing for special projects and general pricing/margin decisions
- Develop channel partners and sales agents through motivation, technical product promotion and sales promotions as well as finding new partners
- Measuring channel partner performances, making decisions on retaining them
- Build strong customer relationships and negotiate sales orders and contracts
- Produce regular sales forecasts
- Work closely with the marketing teams on tactical marketing plans
- Attend overseas trade exhibitions each year
Skills and experience
- Experience of the sales process for medium to high volumes and project-based installations
- Experience of finding new customers, channel partners or OEMs
- Sales experience of a relevant communications product/market sector
- Practical understanding of RF electronics and/or antenna technology
- Experience of dealing with military, defense and government customers on technical, design, procurement and contracts levels
- Able to communicate effectively and motivate at all levels within the company
- Efficient time management
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills, applicable to all stages of the sales process
- Proficient at using relevant CRM systems
- Ability to plan and measure financial performance
- Passion for good customer service through personal contact

Qualifications
- Degree, or equivalent, in relevant technical subject
- Demonstrate achievements in technology systems sales
Personality/ character
- An entrepreneurial outlook to business combined with ability to understand what each customer wants
- Some experience of selling RF communication systems (satellite, broadcasting, GPS, antennas and secure comms as examples)
- Basic understanding of RF parameters and system performance, with ability to use the full engineering support internally available
- Desire to create personal customer contacts and prioritise customer service
- An ability to spot opportunities beyond standard products and extend the product portfolio
- Instinctive need to create new opportunities and find new customers, alongside servicing our existing customer base
