About Us
No More Waste Technologies is a social impact startup on a mission to fight food waste and hunger with technology. Our marketplace platform, SaveGoodFood, connects surplus food from merchants with charities, food banks, and individuals in need.
We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to assist in the delivery of our commercial strategy, identify key partnerships, and help contribute to our roadmap for growth and sustainability.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in business development, sales, and partnerships within the food, tech, or sustainability sectors. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how SaveGoodFood builds partnerships with supermarkets, restaurants, charities, and corporate sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and build a pipeline of target merchants (bakeries, cafes, restaurants, grocers, delis) in the assigned area.
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, including subscriptions, logistics partnerships, and sponsorship campaigns.
- Make outbound calls and send outreach emails/messages to introduce SaveGoodFood and generate interest from merchants.
- Pitch the mobile app and marketplace model clearly, tailoring the message to each merchant type.
- Handle initial objections and questions about how the platform works, commission/fees, and logistics.
- Keep accurate records of outreach activity, conversations, and pipeline status (HubSpot).
- Report weekly progress (calls made, meetings booked, merchants signed) to the CCO/leadership team.
- Gather merchant feedback to help refine pitch materials and onboarding process.
- Support marketing and communications efforts by contributing to messaging, campaign ideas, and PR narratives.
- Represent SaveGoodFood in networking events, sustainability forums, and potential investor meetings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
