Commitment: This position is unpaid and requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for 12 months. This position is fully remote.
Role and Objectives: Ensuring the effective and efficient running of the UK practice on the non-accounting side
Delegated Authority:
- Supervising and managing the non-accounting employees, interns, and consultants
- Budget responsibility for recruitment, training, meeting & events, office running costs
Scope:
- Managing and training staff (incl. allocating work)
- Managing internal processes and procedures (including technology and reporting)
- Admin function
- Delivering high-value client/business work
- Business development activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables:
- Staff onboarding program
- Client servicing (may be related to the acquisition of clients, marketing, relationship management, etc.)
- Managing internal processes and procedures
- Responsible for database/platforms oversight such as Hubspot, Microsoft, etc.
- Responsible for managing non-accounting projects and workflows
- Creating non-accounting processes and putting them in place
- Managing the non-accounting team and departments such as Marketing, Sales, Admin, etc.
- Delegating tasks to staff and interns, and monitoring their progress
- Reporting to Managing Director as needed
- Business Development and Decision-making on a strategic level along with the UK Accounts Practice Manager and Managing Director

Budgetary authority:
- Budget responsibility for recruitment, training, meeting & events, office running costs
- Staff expenses approval and payment
- Personnel management
- Managing staff and allocating work
- Staff planner
- Undertaking bi-annual appraisals for non-accounting staff
- Training and development of staff
Key Performance Indicators:
- New clients (number and revenue)
- Client retention and satisfaction (surveys/Trustpilot)
- Staff retention and satisfaction
- Training delivery – what is the outcome sought – what are we looking to achieve and how to measure (ROI)
- Revenue increase (existing)
- Profitability/productivity improvement

Skills, Competence and Experience:
- Proven track record and years of experience in business development and management
- Strong knowledge of accounting firms (preferred but not required)
- Good command of the English language
- Tech Savvy
- Track record of improving and developing businesses and teams
- Emotional Intelligence
- Evidence of HR (developing and delivering)
- Personal attributes: Able to demonstrate a good fit with the company's values
- Work with one goal and vision
- Treat everyone with respect
- Recreate ourselves to always improve our product and services
- Be ready to find better ways of thinking to improve our services and performance

Working relationships: Reports to:
- Managing Director (Global)

- Accounts Practice Manager
- Industry experts (e.g. ACCA, other bodies)
- Client MDs/FDs

- All non-accounting staff
