About McKenzie Arnold Group
McKenzie Arnold Group specialises in security and visitor management for events across the UK. Our teams deliver event security, crowd management, stewarding, manned guarding, close protection and traffic management, alongside full event planning and production. From corporate and state events to festivals, charity fundraisers and major sporting occasions, we pride ourselves on being responsive enough to react quickly to our clients' needs, yet robust enough to deliver on large-scale contracts. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Business Development Manager to help take us to the next level.
About the role
We're looking for an ambitious, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our next stage of growth. You'll find new opportunities, build lasting partnerships and drive revenue through smart, creative sales strategies. This is a chance to make a real impact on the direction of the business, working in a fast-paced, collaborative team where your ideas and energy will be noticed.

What you'll be doing
- Finding and pursuing new business through market research, networking and outreach
- Creating and delivering strategic plans to grow our client base and increase revenue
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
- Leading presentations, proposals and negotiations to win new contracts
- Using CRM tools such as Salesforce to track leads, manage contacts and analyse sales data
- Working closely with our marketing and product teams to align sales with company goals
- Keeping an eye on industry trends and competitor activity to spot new opportunities early

What you'll bring
- At least 4 years' experience in sales, ideally in business development and within the events or security industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation and people skills
- The ability to plan strategically and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- A self-motivated, proactive approach to finding opportunities and solving problems
- An analytical mindset and confidence working with sales data and market insights
- A natural ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships
