Business Development Manager
We are seeking a BDM for an established logistics organisation to support their Folkestone office with its commercial growth, developing new business opportunities and building profitable, long-term customer relationships.
Working closely with the operations team, you will identify and convert new customers while also developing already established opportunities across the business.

Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by sourcing and converting new, regular and profitable freight forwarding customers.
- Identify new clients, markets and opportunities across road, sea, air, courier, warehousing and customs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, providing a tailored and personable service.
- Work closely with operations to ensure effective account management and service delivery.
- Ensure clear and profitable margins across accounts and jobs, maximising commercial opportunities wherever possible.
- Travel regularly to meet with prospective and existing customers.

About You
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role within freight forwarding or logistics is essential.
- Strong track record of success across Air, Sea or Road freight sales, with a good understanding of worldwide logistics.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Commercially driven with strong analytical skills and a focus on profitability.
- Resilient, self-motivated and positive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability and IT literacy, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
