Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager at Temper, you’ll own the full sales cycle and lead our expansion in the UK logistics and warehousing market.
This is a role for a hunter: someone who loves the chase, thrives on autonomy, and knows how to turn prospects into long-term customers.
Location: London or remote, but must be able to travel to Midlands/Cardiff/Manchester/Bham
🧩 What You’ll Do
- Own and grow the logistics vertical, from cold outreach to signed contract and successful onboarding.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of warehousing and logistics operators across the UK.
- Conduct targeted research into local markets, company profiles, and buyer personas to identify high-value opportunities.
- Drive the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, pitch, negotiate, close and onboard.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Account Management and Operations to refine our go-to-market motion and continuously improve conversion rates.
- Be the face of Temper in the field, travel to key logistics hubs and build lasting relationships that drive revenue.
- Consistently exceed your targets and contribute directly to Temper’s UK growth story.
🌈 What Success Looks Like
- You’ve built a healthy pipeline of logistics/warehousing clients within your first 90 days.
- You’re closing new accounts every month.
- You’re known as one of the top performers in the team, leading the way on activity, conversion, and revenue.
- You’ve built a strong personal network across the UK logistics ecosystem.
- You move fast, stay sharp, and never miss a chance to win new business.
🤝 Your Future Team
You’ll join a high-performing sales team, working closely with the Head of Sales to drive Temper’s UK logistics growth. This role is primarily remote, allowing you to work from your location, but you’ll come to the London office from time to time to build relationships and stay connected with the team.
We operate with a work-hard, win-hard mentality: competitive, collaborative, and accountable. You’ll have the freedom to run your own vertical, backed by a team that celebrates success and moves quickly together.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
