Drive growth. Build relationships. Shape our future in Wind Energy.

Ainscough Crane Hire is looking for an experienced sales manager to take the lead in developing and growing our presence within the wind energy sector.

This is a role with real scope and influence. You'll take ownership of an agreed customer base, build strong relationships at multiple levels and identify opportunities to grow both new and existing business — from initial prospecting and qualification through to negotiation, contract award and ongoing account management.

You'll be at the heart of our relationships with customers, working closely with our sales, operations, depot network and wider business to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements and create long-term commercial value.

What will you be doing?

As Our Business Development Manager, You'll

  • Develop and manage relationships across an agreed customer base, acting as a key point of contact for customer requirements and expectations.
  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across the Wind Energy sector.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities and activity are accurately recorded through our CRM.
  • Lead customer meetings, presentations and commercial discussions to promote Ainscough's crane hire services and wider capabilities.
  • Develop both short-term sales opportunities and longer-term framework agreements.
  • Work closely with Operations and our wider teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Lead regular Key Account Management activity, maintaining strong and proactive relationships with our customers.
  • Support PQQs, bids and tenders, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Develop proposals, rates and service level framework agreements.
  • Support the negotiation of commercial, technical and contractual terms.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve commercial and contract issues and manage change requests effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce customers to the wider Ainscough portfolio of services.
  • Use customer feedback and market insight to help identify opportunities for service and product development.
  • Ensure high standards of communication, reporting, quality and customer service are maintained.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
