Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Location: Remote, with up to 50% UK wide travel.

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy, building relationships with senior decision-makers, uncovering new opportunities, and creating tailored solutions that help customers transform their operations.

This is an exciting role for a commercially driven sales professional who thrives on winning new business and influencing at every level. Working alongside experts across Solution Design, Operations, and Finance, you'll shape compelling customer propositions, lead strategic sales opportunities, and play a key role in delivering sustainable growth for one of the world's leading logistics providers.

This role will focus on selling contract logistics and transport solutions for the transport business function.

✅WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll be part of a brilliant team that works together to help customers grow their businesses successfully. In turn, you'll have everything you need to grow your career, too.

  • Develop and leverage constructive relationships within target accounts in the Transport business function, to gain access to key decision makers and establish a network.
  • Continuously review business potentials and identify business sales opportunities.
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities within target accounts and answer incoming RFQs plus mapping and assess stakeholders within assigned target accounts.
  • Conduct internal and external research to identify customer's supply chain requirements and business objectives.
  • With your ability to forge strong relationships with new and existing customers, you'll help us maintain our “Customer for Life” ethos, while building a pipeline of exciting new business opportunities.

✅WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Proven experience of Transport Solutions sales and/or selling 3PL contract logistics solutions.
  • Understanding of Transport networks and customer facing experience in a transport operations environment. Transport commercial exposure would also be beneficial.
  • Demonstratable drive to win new business within a complex large organisation with an understanding of bid and tender sales lifecycles.
  • Previous sales experience within transport logistics and supply chain delivering medium to large size deals and multiple opportunities would be desirable.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
  • Results-oriented and able to deliver sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Have a strategic mindset and a passion for building long-term customer partnerships.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
