Business Development Manager: FM / M and E Maintenance
PPM Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation in the Manchester area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in M and E maintenance, Facilities Management or Building Solutions to play a key role in driving business growth.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing profitable M and E maintenance and technical compliance contracts. The role will focus on generating new business opportunities, developing strong relationships with key property and facilities stakeholders, and converting opportunities into long-term, profitable partnerships.

You will be expected to build influential relationships with decision-makers, engage confidently with technical stakeholders, understand client requirements and develop commercially viable solutions.
Key Details
- Hybrid working, with regular client and site visits
- Head office based in Denton, Manchester
- Salary: GBP60,000-GBP65,000, depending on experience
- Car allowance provided
Skills And Experience
- Minimum 5 years business development experience within commercial M and E maintenance, Facilities Management or Building Solutions
- Proven track record of winning maintenance contracts valued between GBP100k and GBP2m per annum
- Established relationships with managing agents and commercial property professionals
- Strong technical understanding of M and E maintenance services
- Ability to interpret specifications and identify commercial opportunities
- Experience conducting site surveys
- Experience contributing to pricing strategies and commercial proposals
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience
- Engineering qualification or previous engineering experience
- Experience using Maximo or similar CAFM systems
- Experience responding to OJEU/Public Sector tenders
- An established network across the North West and Midlands
