Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid working role based in the South East of England. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the BEMS market, nurturing relationships with existing and prospective clients, and driving revenue growth.

Day-to-day tasks
- Researching target sectors
- Qualifying leads
- Preparing and delivering proposals and presentations
- Collaborating with engineering and project teams to align solutions with client needs
- Managing the sales pipeline
- Negotiating contracts
- Attending client meetings and industry events
- Maintaining accurate records
- Providing regular performance reports to leadership
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with experience building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Knowledge of Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS)
- Competence in market research, lead generation, and opportunity qualification, including use of CRM tools and basic data analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering and project teams, coordinating proposals and solutions that meet client requirements and budget constraints.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in business development or technical sales within building services, automation, or energy management is highly beneficial.
- Valid right to work in the UK
- Willingness to travel within the South of England and to client sites as required.
- Must be currently within the South East of England
