Business Development Manager (SaaS Customer Communications Management Print) / Hybrid Mail.
Location: Hybrid (relaxed)
Package: £50k to £55k base salary with uncapped commission
My client is a communications technology provider helping organisations transform how they communicate with customers.
My client's cloud-based platform brings channels including email, SMS, secure digital documents and printed correspondence into one integrated solution, and considered Hybrid Mail & Customer Communications Management Print SaaS (CMM).
The opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate new customer acquisition across our client's core markets.
This is a pure new business role for someone who is motivated by creating opportunities, opening doors and converting complex sales.
You will generate and manage your own pipeline, build relationships with senior decision-makers and lead opportunities from initial engagement through discovery, solution development, proposal, negotiation and contract signature.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, engage and win new business within agreed target sectors and named accounts.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, events and targeted account development.
- Engage senior stakeholders including Operations Directors, IT leaders, Commercial Directors, Customer Service leaders and C-suite executives.
- Lead consultative discovery to understand communication volumes, workflows, compliance requirements, cost pressures and customer experience goals.
- Create persuasive proposals, presentations, commercial models and business cases.
- Own the full sales cycle, coordinating internal technical, operational, implementation and commercial support when required.
- Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, pipeline and forecast information within HubSpot CRM.
- Represent my client at relevant industry events, exhibitions and networking forums.
- Provide market, customer and competitor insight to support my client's wider growth strategy.

What we are looking for
- Previous experience working with a SaaS organisation that offers a Customer Communications Management Print experience
- A proven track record in new business sales and winning new logos.
- Experience creating and managing your own sales pipeline.
- Strong consultative and solution-selling skills.
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers and navigating multiple stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness, resilience and a disciplined approach to opportunity management.
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and forecasting capability.
