Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the organisation by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and developing strategies to achieve revenue targets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the company’s market presence and competitive edge.
Operational
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, including untapped markets, partnerships, and prospective clients.
- Develop and implement business strategies to meet and exceed sales and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and delivery of solutions for new clients.
- Track and report on business development activities and pipeline progress.

Skills And Experience
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or related roles, with a proven track record of achieving growth targets in the online and/or business travel market.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and industry trends, especially in the B2B business travel market.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and sales software to manage pipelines and client relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Analytical skills to assess opportunities and develop data-driven strategies.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Highly motivated and results-driven with a passion for business growth.
- Resilient and adaptable to market changes and challenges.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Professional and confident, with a client-focused approach.
