Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Manager role based in Leeds, with flexibility for some work from home. The Business Development Manager will identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within commercial cleaning and facilities management, while nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients. - Prospecting and lead generation
- Preparing and delivering proposals and presentations
- Conducting regular client meetings and consultations
- Collaborating with operations and service delivery teams to shape tailored service packages
- Ensuring smooth onboarding of new contracts
- Maintaining high levels of client satisfaction

The Business Development Manager will track sales performance, report on market trends, contribute to pricing strategies, and represent Trojan FM at relevant events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and closing deals in B2B services.
- Account management and relationship-building capabilities, with experience in maintaining and growing client portfolios.
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to develop growth plans, analyze market trends, and contribute to pricing and service strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate value propositions and tailor messages to different stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple opportunities, proposals, and client interactions simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email and collaboration tools).
- Previous experience in facilities management, cleaning services, or related industries is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to attend client sites and meetings in Leeds and surrounding areas as required.
