About the Role
PLM Central is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded PLM Consultant to join our team and play a key role in our continued growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong PLM and industry knowledge with a genuine passion for business development and customer engagement.
You’ll work predominantly at the front end of the customer journey, identifying new opportunities, engaging with prospective customers, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how the right PLM and CAD solutions can deliver real business value.
You’ll become a key ambassador for PLM Central, helping us build our customer base, strengthen our market presence and establish long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
Our solutions utilise the PTC portfolio, including Creo, Windchill, Arbortext, Windchill Navigate (ThingWorx), Codebeamer and other complementary technologies.
This is a role for someone who wants to make an impact. You’ll have the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table, influence how we approach the market and play a genuine part in shaping the future growth of PLM Central.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, networking and outbound engagement.
- Engage with prospective customers to understand their business challenges, processes and technology requirements.
- Present and demonstrate PTC and PLM solutions, clearly communicating their business value and potential return on investment.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across design, engineering, manufacturing and IT organisations.
- Manage and progress leads and opportunities through the sales cycle, maintaining accurate and timely information within the CRM.
- Represent PLM Central professionally across customer meetings, presentations, events, exhibitions and industry forums.
- Take an active role in planning and delivering trade shows, exhibitions and customer events.
- Help establish PLM Central as a thought leader through LinkedIn, our website, industry events and other relevant channels.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with PLM Central’s growth objectives.
- Work towards agreed revenue and new-business targets.
- Contribute to the development and execution of targeted marketing and lead generation campaigns.
- Identify new markets, opportunities and ways in which PLM Central can expand its customer base and services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
