BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING ASSISTANT – PART TIME
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Business Development & Marketing Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a varied position suited to someone who is commercially minded, creative and extremely confident using modern technology.
A key requirement of the role is that the successful candidate is very comfortable using AI and understands how tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and other AI platforms can be used effectively within a modern business.
You will support the company with business development, marketing, promotion and general administration, working closely with our existing management team to identify better solutions, develop new opportunities, and improve how we promote and communicate our services.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Working closely with the management team to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for growth
- Researching potential customers, markets, sectors and commercial opportunities
- Using AI and digital tools to help improve business processes, marketing, research and overall efficiency
- Supporting the development and implementation of marketing and promotional campaigns
- Creating professional social media content, company updates and other promotional material
- Helping to improve how the business presents and communicates its services to existing and prospective customers
- Preparing professional presentations, proposals, reports and business development documents
- Supporting customer and prospect follow-ups and maintaining accurate business development records
- Producing and maintaining spreadsheets, trackers, reports and other management information
- Assisting the management team with research, data analysis and identifying more efficient ways of working
- Supporting the development of new ideas, services and commercial initiatives
- Carrying out general administrative and business support duties where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience of AI tools
- Strong marketing and promotional skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Advanced IT skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Confidence using social media and digital marketing platforms
- The ability to work independently and use their own initiative
- A proactive and commercially minded approach

Previous experience within business development, marketing or a similar commercial role would be advantageous.
Hours: 24 hours per week
Salary: £16.00–£18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Employment: Part-time
The role will initially be offered on a part-time basis, with the opportunity for the position to develop into a permanent and potentially expanded role for the right candidate.
We are particularly interested in finding someone who embraces new technology, understands the opportunities presented by AI and wants to play an active role in helping us develop and grow the business.
