I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Compensation
This is an independent, performance-based business model rather than a salaried employment position. There is no fixed salary, and income is not guaranteed. Earnings depend on individual performance, business activity, skills developed, and results achieved.
For individuals who build substantial commercial activity, develop their client base, and consistently execute their business strategy, £15k - £20k + per month is an income level that can be worked towards.
This is not a passive-income role. It requires active participation in business development, marketing, relationship management, and sales. The role is designed for individuals who value:
- Autonomy
- Flexibility
- Personal Responsibility
- Commercial Growth
- Continuous Learning
You determine how you structure your working week and where you work, while taking responsibility for developing your business and delivering results.
The Selection Process
The initial conversation is designed to understand your professional background, experience, and ambitions. If there is a potential fit, you will receive further information about the business model, programmes, commercial structure, and expectations before deciding whether you wish to proceed.
If you're an experienced professional looking for a different way to apply your commercial skills, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
