About the company
Our client is Microsoft data and AI consultancy, working with Microsoft and Databricks. They help organisations get value from their data through strategy, engineering and AI, mainly on Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
The role
- New business outreach: finding target organisations and starting conversations with data and technology leaders.
- Lead follow-up: following up leads from events, conferences, webinars and roundtables, qualifying opportunities and booking meetings for the founders.
- Partner alliances: acting as the day-to-day contact for Microsoft, Databricks and other technology partners, and building relationships that create co-sell opportunities.
- Client success: keeping in regular contact with existing clients, making sure they're satisfied and spotting opportunities for further work.

Essential experience
- A track record in new business development within B2B technology services
- Experience at a Microsoft partner, or at a data, cloud or IT consultancy
- Enough understanding of data and AI to discuss business value credibly with senior stakeholders
- Ability to work on your own and manage your own pipeline without day-to-day sales management
- Comfortable handling several responsibilities at once in a small business

Desirable experience
- Microsoft AZ-900 or DP-900, or willing to take one
- Experience with Microsoft or Databricks partner programmes, including co-sell
- Account management or customer success experience
- Experience at a small or early-stage company
- An existing network of UK data and IT leaders
What's on offer
- Base salary of £30,000 to £60,000, depending on experience
- Commission linked to new business
- Remote working within the UK, with occasional travel to events, client sites and partner meetings
- Direct influence over how the company's sales and partnership function is built
