Role: Business Development Product Specialist - Cleaning & FM

Salary: £40- £60k basic plus commission and benefits

Job Status: Full Time/ Permanent

Location: Field-Based - UK Wide

Role Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading supplier to the cleaning, hygiene, and facilities management sector for an experienced Business Development Product Specialist. Our client is looking for a confident, commercially minded sales professional who enjoys meeting customers, demonstrating products and winning business. This is a varied, customer-facing role combining product demonstrations, relationship building, and new business development across an extensive portfolio of cleaning and FM solutions.


The Role:

Predominantly field-based, you’ll spend most of your week visiting existing and prospective customers across the UK. You’ll understand customers’ requirements, demonstrate relevant products and solutions, and identify opportunities to develop new and existing business.

The portfolio is extremely varied and includes cleaning chemicals, janitorial consumables, washroom and hygiene solutions, paper products, cleaning equipment and machinery, floorcare and sustainable cleaning solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging product and machinery demonstrations
  • Identifying customer needs and recommending suitable solutions
  • Developing opportunities within existing customer accounts
  • Proactively generating new business and booking appointments
  • Attending meetings generated by the wider business development team
  • Following up demonstrations and progressing opportunities through to sale
  • Building strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Attending product trials, site visits and industry events where required.

About You:

You’ll be a confident, commercially minded sales professional who enjoys meeting customers, demonstrating products and winning business. Experience within the cleaning, facilities management, janitorial, hygiene, washroom or cleaning machinery sector is essential. You’ll also need a full UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling across the UK.
