Company Description

M-out is a Tokyo-based startup factory that has launched over 50 businesses and achieved 10 successful exits since 2002. Operating on a "market-out" philosophy, the firm creates high-growth ventures based on real market needs rather than technology alone, now expanding its entrepreneurial engine into the UK and European markets.

Job Description

As the first London-based hire for M-out, you will spearhead our European expansion by scouting and evaluating new business opportunities across the UK and EU. You will operate with high autonomy, conducting market research, meeting potential partners, and reporting directly to Tokyo HQ to shape our international growth strategy from the ground up.

Location

London, UK

Why this role is remarkable

  • Greenfield Autonomy: Be the first person on the ground in London, with the unique freedom to identify and shape M-out’s expansion strategy across the UK and European markets.
  • Proven Venture Engine: Join a "startup factory" with a 20-year track record of launching 50+ businesses and securing 10 successful exits, providing a stable yet entrepreneurial environment.
  • Direct Influence: Work with high levels of independence while maintaining a direct line of communication to leadership at the Tokyo headquarters, influencing the company’s global direction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Sometimes Jill's clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can't share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn't much we can do about it.
