Business Development Rep (AI Cloud)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Rep (AI Cloud) based in United Kingdom.
This is a technical business development opportunity at the intersection of AI, cloud infrastructure, and commercial growth.
You will build and qualify pipeline across AI startups, enterprises, developers, researchers, and model creators.
The role goes beyond traditional sales, requiring genuine fluency in AI and the ability to engage confidently with technical audiences.
You will manage inbound opportunities, outbound campaigns, re-engagement efforts, and discovery conversations with high-value prospects.
You will also contribute to go-to-market experiments, partnerships, events, and initiatives designed to expand market reach.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will have meaningful influence on pipeline development and commercial strategy.
The environment is remote, entrepreneurial, and fast-moving, with significant autonomy and opportunities to build a strong network across the open AI ecosystem.
Accountabilities
- Build, develop, and qualify sales pipeline across enterprises, AI startups, developers, researchers, and other technical audiences.
- Manage inbound requests through channels such as chat and email, ensuring prospects are understood, qualified, and progressed effectively.
- Develop and manage outbound prospecting sequences and automation using tools such as HubSpot, Clay, Reply.io, n8n, or comparable platforms.
- Re-engage existing sign-ups and subscribers to identify high-value users and uncover opportunities for deeper engagement.
- Coordinate discovery calls, partner conversations, and meetings with senior commercial leadership and company founders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and monitor pipeline activity, conversion metrics, and weekly performance reporting.
- Attend relevant conferences, meetups, and industry events to generate pipeline and establish valuable relationships.
- Identify potential partnership opportunities and contribute creative go-to-market experiments.
- Communicate effectively with technical prospects, translating AI and cloud infrastructure concepts into relevant business conversations.
- Operate independently while continuously identifying new opportunities to improve prospecting, qualification, and pipeline generation.

Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure sales, business development, developer relations, or a closely related field.
- Strong technical understanding of AI and cloud infrastructure, with genuine interest in open models and AI technologies.
- Comfortable engaging with developers, founders, researchers, technical decision-makers, and AI-focused businesses.
- Strong AI literacy and experience using AI tools as part of your professional or personal workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, credibly, and naturally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to operate effectively with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with CRM, prospecting, and workflow automation tools such as HubSpot, Clay, n8n, Reply.io, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prospects, conversations, sequences, and follow-ups.
- Confidence representing the business at industry events and building relationships with potential customers and partners.
- A developer or technical background combined with an interest in transitioning toward business development and commercial growth is particularly relevant.
- Fluency in German or French is an advantage.
