Business Development Representative
As a Business Development Representative, you will drive new business opportunities and grow our client base. This role focuses on identifying prospects, generating qualified leads, and nurturing relationships to support the sales team in securing new accounts.
You will be instrumental in positioning our MDR and PS offerings.

Commission structure: 60/40 split (60% base, 40% potential earnings)
Location: Reporting to Cork office (HQ), but open to applications within Belfast & UK
Travel: Travel will be required for this role
Days and hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
Reports to: Sales Manager / Head of Sales

Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and research target markets, industries, and companies across Ireland.
- Use cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and networking to reach potential clients.
- Qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns.
Client Engagement
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospective clients’ IT and business challenges.
- Effectively communicate our value proposition and solutions to decision-makers.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings or demos for the field sales team.
Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in the CRM.
- Track and report weekly on leads generated, meetings booked, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies.
Market Awareness
- Stay updated on trends in the cybersecurity market.
- Monitor competitor offerings and highlight differentiators in client conversations.

Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or lead generation - preferably in IT or cybersecurity sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident in making cold calls and engaging with C-level executives.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
Desirable:
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and managed services solutions.
- Familiarity with the Irish business landscape and SME/enterprise markets.
