Job Opportunity: Business Development Representative

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Representative based in the United Kingdom.

This is an opportunity to launch or accelerate your career in technology sales within a fully remote, global environment.

You will play a key role in generating new business opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting and meaningful buyer engagement.

The role combines research, relationship building, qualification, communication, and pipeline management to create measurable sales impact.

You will work closely with Sales Executives and cross-functional go-to-market teams to turn market insights into qualified opportunities.

From day one, you will have access to structured training, coaching, sales enablement, and modern tools designed to support your development.

You will work remotely from Switzerland while engaging with customers and colleagues across a diverse international organization.

Accountabilities

  • Generate awareness and interest through proactive outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
  • Research target accounts and prospects to identify relevant business challenges, buying signals, and opportunities for personalized outreach.
  • Qualify leads effectively and schedule high-value meetings that can develop into tangible sales opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Sales Executives to support pipeline generation and maintain strong momentum across mid-market and SMB opportunities.
  • Clearly communicate the value of the global employment platform and tailor messaging to the needs of prospective buyers.
  • Organize, maintain, and optimize your pipeline to maximize efficiency, prioritization, and predictable results.
  • Use sales tools and prospecting platforms effectively to manage outreach activities, customer information, and pipeline progression.
  • Share relevant buyer insights and market intelligence with Sales, Marketing, Product, Revenue Operations, and other go-to-market teams.
  • Continuously test and refine outreach strategies based on data, feedback, and changing market conditions.
  • Take ownership of performance goals, learn from challenges, and proactively identify ways to improve results.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of demonstrated success in a customer-centric role, such as sales, hospitality, customer success, recruiting, or another position where proactive relationship building contributed to measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with B2B prospecting and sales tools, such as Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or comparable platforms.
  • Fluent English language skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the curiosity to gather information from multiple sources and turn it into focused outreach strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance speed, accuracy, and quality under pressure.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a practical approach to breaking complex challenges into actionable steps.
  • Agile and adaptable mindset, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies, including AI-powered tools, processes, and sales methodologies.
  • Data-driven approach to communication and decision-making, using insights and performance metrics to guide actions and improve outcomes.
  • Strong motivation and ambition, with a clear personal drive connected to purpose, product interest, professional development, or other meaningful goals.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability, including the ability to take initiative, learn from mistakes, and find proactive solutions.
  • Resilience and persistence when facing challenges, changing priorities, or periods of uncertainty.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to shared success.
  • Genuine interest in remote work and curiosity about trends shaping the global workplace.
  • Reliable home internet connection or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be currently based within the EMEA region, with Switzerland being the location specified for this opportunity.
